ENERGY CLUB WAS IN SM MENGLAIT NEWSLETTER 

One of the SMMG Energy Club's Sensitisation activities was organising Earth Hour on the 26 March 2011.  We are proud that our activity was published in the school Newletter.  

Our Club was also given a one-page space to publicise our club and we took the opportunity to give Energy Saving Tips in it.

ENERGY CLUB WAS IN THE NEWSPAPER

Our Energy Project entitled "Family Fitness for Energy" was published in Brunei Times following the Formal Inauguration of the Tenaga Suria Brunei by His Majesty.

It was also published in the Media Permata.

World Environment Day

4 June 2011

5 June marked the World Environment Day.  SMMG Energy Club celebrated the day by setting up a 3D-Tree in the library.  Earlier in the week, the "lowering the carbon footprint" were distributed to Energy club members and teachers of SMMG.  They were asked to design their "footprint" and wrote their pledge on it.  Today, 4 June 2011,  they hanged their "footprint" onto our Energy Club's 3D-Tree.  

Teachers were encouraged to wear Green to show how much they care for the environment.

Other students were also encourage to pledge.  However, most students  preferred to read the pledge than did the pledge themselves. Most teachers were still not participated.  But!!!..we have a participation of a teacher from MSPSBS.  And...., some of the teachers who pledged, asked their children to design the "footprints" for them.   They were beautiful....Well done and thank you!!

The 3D-Tree will remain in the library until Monday, 6 June.  Hopefully, more teachers and students pledge to make the Earth a better place to live.
